Home For The Holiday Scrapbook Bundle
Hello beautiful crafters! Today I am bringing to you what you can create when you convert digital designs to paper. Katie Pertiet Designs has hundreds and hundreds of papers, stamps, blendables printables, svg's...Just check out the SHOP.
This layout was created with a few collections from Katies designs and a few dies and an embossing folder I have in my stash, Use your tools!!! I have a We R Memory envelope punch that create envelopes in many sizes. And I created all of the paper flowers on this layout.
I used Vintage Mini Mix 20 digital collection for the most part of this layout. I just printed the designs onto 110lb white cardstock. Since I don't have a wide format paper, and some of the collections in the shop only have the 12x12 version, I just print them up in standard letter size and piece where I can. No big deal. It works. All of the elements bring it together.
The flowers were created with Sizzix Bigz Black Eye Susan die. I die cut watercolor paper, then colored them with Katie Pertiets Laurel Garden Magical Shakers from Lindys Stamp Gang. The colors are luscious and perfect for the collection I used. I curled a brown pipe cleaner into a small round, edged it with some acrylic paint and placed it in the middle of the flower. The fern were also die cut from watercolor paper and colored with Lazing in the Laurels from the Laurel Garden Magicals. It is a beautiful deep forest green.
I just adore creating mini albums, and when I found this butterfly die set at a local garage sale for 1 dollar, the visions of what I could do with it ran through my head!!! Immediately, I knew I wanted to create a fall themed mini. Sorting through my Katie Pertiet Designs digital collections, I picked In The Leaves, which was originally designed as a paper collection for 49 and Market. It truly is a fabulous collection with all of the warm vibes of Autumn. Having the digital collection means I could print up what ever I need for my projects.
I recently discovered Mix2Mold which is a ceramic resin powder that you mix with water for your silicone molds. I think I own all of the Prima Marketing Moulds, so I was excited that Mix2Mold created perfectly crisp castings. And I didn't even have to prep it with paint or gesso, I just mixed Lindys Gang Magical Shakers using Katie Pertiets Laurel Garden collection. The colors were perfect with the In The Leaves Collection!! Gorgeous rich fall colors! The Frames and leaves castings took the Magicals perfectly!! I am so excited at this finding!
More frames and butterflies!

I love creating my own flowers because it gives me control over style and color. Printing up digital paper from the collection and printing the same color on both sides saves me from coloring the flowers. I do enhance the colors using inks or my go to is Lindys Gang colors. Magicals are my favorite. And Katie Pertiet has her own color set that matches this paper collection perfectly. Laurel Garden has those colors that give you the Fall Vibes. The colors are beautiful and I have used them throughout this mini album. Even if they are just splatters!!
There are 8 pages that include a front and back cover. Each page was such a pleasure to create. The collection I used had plenty of ephemera. If you are Photoshop savvy or familiar with a similar program, you can create printables and resize your ephemera any size you want. And if you have an electronic cutter, you can cut out the printable even faster. But for this collection, I fussy cut some of the elements while sitting in the carloop line at my granddaughters school. It passes the time quickly!!
I love using digital elements for my paper projects, whether printing up and fussy cutting, or creating cut files for my Silhouette Cameo. This layout was inspired by the beautiful ARToptions Viken dragonflies. I created a cut file with many sized dragonflies, and I know I will use them often! When I saw the July Challenge for Lindys, I knew I had to enter. Purple and green are 2 of my favorite colors. And who doesn't love Books and Magic, which is the theme. But the Dragonflies are what inspired me to create this design. They come from the Viken Collection which I created a cut file for. Now I have them in lots of sizes.
It all started with a sheet of 12x12 white cardstock. Stenciled using modeling paste, brushed with clear gesso, and sprayed and splattered with Lindys Magical Shakers. The stitching in the corners are KPD digital images. This is the base of the layout.
The little book was created wrapping chipboard with paper, lining is as if you were making a mini album, then added a few blank pages to the inside and adhered the middle of the pages to the spine, and fluffing and staggering the pages. The title strip came from the KPD ARToption Viken collection.

Can you imagine a never ending supply of your favorite paper collections?? Imagine no more. As long as you purchase digital collections, you have them forever, and can print as many times as you want. I use Katie Pertiet Designs digitals in my projects. Printing what I need to complete each one. And no worries if you dont have a printer that prints in 12x12 format. I use 8.5x11 inch printed sheets to create my projects. For this 12x12 layout, I printed up Transfer 1 digital from ARToptions Minimix 33 and cut it diagonally and used a piece of 12x12 white cardstock to adhere it to. I machine sewed around the edges of the layout using straight stitching and zig zag. 3 rows all around. The frame is a Prima resin frame that I poured, coated in white gesso, and used Lindys Stamp Gang Magical Shakers for color, topping it with some gold wax matching the colors in the papers.
