Katie Pertiet Designs "Home for the Holidays" digital collection

Once in a while, I find a collection that warms my heart. This is one of them. Katie Pertiets digital collection, Home For The Holidays transformed into paper. I created printables in Photoshop to the size I wanted all of the elements, and fussy cut each one out. Sometimes I run them through my Silhouette Cameo, but fussy cutting sooths my soul. I started with a 12x12 piece of white cardstock. I stitched around the borders a few times using straight and zig zag stitches. Such a wonderful  thing to do is print the digital Blendables onto Washi paper. I cut them up and used them on the background  before I started
all of the layering along with splattering some color to match the colors of the papers.

Once I cut the elements out, I started my layering. I added an 8.5x8.5 square of printed solid paper over the base lifted it with cardboard underneath. I printed the houses on cardstock, fussy cut the strip of houses, backed them with cardboard and adhered it towards the bottom.

I die cut the poinsettias from the  Sacked Solid Paper Pack 01, layered them, filled the middle with Prills and dusted the flowers with clear glitter for sparkle. I also die cut spiral flowers to tuck in-between the floral clusters. The leaves were fussy cut from the collection.

Here is a closeup of the flowers.

I used jute to string through the ephemera. and tucked it slightly behind the houses.

Katie Pertiet Design " Vintage Mini Mix 21" Digital to paper

Hello beautiful crafters! Today I am bringing to you what you can create when you convert digital designs to paper. Katie Pertiet Designs has hundreds and hundreds of papers, stamps, blendables printables, svg's...Just check out the SHOP

This layout was created with a few collections from Katies designs and a few dies and an embossing folder I have in my stash, Use your tools!!! I have a We R Memory envelope punch that create envelopes in many sizes. And I created all of the paper flowers on this layout.

I used Vintage Mini Mix 20 digital collection for the most part of this layout. I just printed the designs onto 110lb white cardstock. Since I don't have a wide format paper, and some of the collections in the shop only have the 12x12 version, I just print them up in standard letter size and piece where I can. No big deal. It works.  All of the elements bring it together.

The flowers were created with Sizzix Bigz Black Eye Susan die. I die cut watercolor paper, then colored them with Katie Pertiets Laurel Garden Magical Shakers from Lindys Stamp Gang. The colors are luscious and perfect for the collection I used. I curled a brown pipe cleaner into a small round, edged it with some acrylic paint and placed it in the middle of the flower. The fern were also die cut from watercolor paper and colored with Lazing in the Laurels from the Laurel Garden Magicals. It is a beautiful deep forest green.

The frame is from the Evergreen Season Wooden Frames. I created a printable with the frames, I printed them on heavy 110lb white cardstock, used my Cameo to cut them out, then machine stitched around the frames. To create the envelope that the photo is tucked into, I used one of the red solid papers from the Season Of Joy scrapbook bundle , I used my WE R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board, and after I put it together, I ran it through my Vagabond using a decorative embossing folder. I inked the raised parts ever so lightly with Distress ink in Vintage Photo. I also printed up the Swatch Ephemera 01,cut them apart, inked the edges, and now I have a stack of ephemera when I need it. I used a couple of the pieces on the layout as it compliments the tag that is in the Mini Mix 20 collection.

The elements in the Vintage Mini Mix 20 collection are beautiful, windows, owls, butterflies, and branches. Everything I love in a paper collection. The Autumn woodsy feeling takes me deep into the forest behind my home. I did die cut some Sizzix Tim Holtz skeleton leaves and colored them with the Laurel Garden Magicals. I die cut Donna Salazar Bitty Blossom flowers (retired) and tucked them in here and there.

I really enjoyed creating this layout. I get so excited when the paper is coming through the printer and I get to see the gorgeous digitals come to life on paper. Please go check out

Butterfly Mini Album featuring Katie Pertiet Designs In The Leaves collection.

I just adore creating mini albums, and when I found this butterfly die set at a local garage sale for 1 dollar, the visions of what I could do with it ran through my head!!! Immediately, I knew I wanted to create a fall themed mini. Sorting through my Katie Pertiet Designs digital collections, I picked In The Leaves, which was originally designed as a paper collection for 49 and Market. It truly is a fabulous collection with all of the warm vibes of Autumn. Having the digital collection means I could print up what ever I need for my projects.

I recently discovered Mix2Mold which is a ceramic resin powder that you mix with water for your silicone molds. I think I own all of the Prima Marketing Moulds, so I was excited that Mix2Mold created perfectly crisp castings. And I didn't even have to prep it with paint or gesso, I just mixed Lindys Gang Magical Shakers using Katie Pertiets Laurel Garden collection. The colors were perfect with the In The Leaves Collection!! Gorgeous rich fall colors! The Frames and leaves castings took the Magicals perfectly!! I am so excited at this finding!

This is a view of the mini album opened up front, spine and back. I am so pleased about how it came together.

This is the spine. Printing and fussing cutting was so easy to do. I also created printables with the digital  elements for my Silhouette Cameo. But I do find fussy cutting is relaxing to me, so I do it often. Nothing else to do while sitting in the carloop line for an hour!!

Here is the first page of the mini. I backed the frames and most of the elements with chipboard to give it a little dimension. I also did a lot of splattering on the pages with the Magical Shakers. This also leaves a bit of shimmer.

I love all of the sentiments. In The Leaves also has a great collection leaves, butterflies and frames!

More frames and butterflies!

The little acorns are so sweet as well. Mixing them in with the fall leaves makes the perfect little clusters.

There are different styles of frames. Perfect for those little fall photos you might have.

I did use some Elizabeth Craft Design die cuts and tucked them here and there in the album. Angelica Turner designs the best floral dies for Elizabeth Craft Designs. And the Greenery Fillers are awesome. And if you know me, you know I love making flowers!! Once again, I colored the die cuts using the Magicals. Laurel Garden is a must have color collection. I love my Magical Shakers.

More leaf clusters.

For the little circle elements, I punched a hole on the top with my Cropadile, set an eyelet and strung some string through it.

I love the little filmstrip frame. The beauty of digital is you can size the elements to any size you want to suit the size of your projects.

You can also cut apart the sentiments to fit your space.

Thank you for joining me today. I hope you shop Katie Pertiet Designs and start printing your favorite digital collections.

Katie Pertiet Designs has hundreds of digital collections to choose from, for printing. There are many already designed for printables that will save you the work of doing it yourself. So many of the collections can be mixed and matched for a wide variety of projects. The possibilities are endless.
In The Leaves digital collection is what I used for this mini album.

Lindys Gang has  the most beautiful colors from Sprays to Magical Shakers and Powders to embossing powders. I'm obsessed!! Get Laurel Garden. It is a delightful collection of shimmery colors.

Mix2Mold is now my go to for casting my molds. Mix with water and pour into your molds. Perfection!!

Katie Pertiet Designs Curated Studio Mix 40 digital collection./Fall themed Mini album

Sometimes, digital papers can be printed to create your projects. Katie Pertiet Designs has the best digital collections that can be printed on paper to create with. I love creating mini albums. This mini album was created using Katie Pertiet Designs Curated Studio Mix 40. I love Autumn, and there are so many collections to choose from in the fall theme. I used Scrap Diva Designs Acorn die set. It is such a great die set. I'll have to make another!! So off to find another beautiful Autumn collection at Kate Pertiet Designs.

I love creating my own flowers because it gives me control over style and color. Printing up digital paper from the collection and printing the same color on both sides saves  me from coloring the flowers. I do enhance the colors using inks or my go to is Lindys Gang colors. Magicals are my favorite. And Katie Pertiet has her own color set that matches this paper collection perfectly. Laurel Garden has those colors that give you the Fall Vibes. The colors are beautiful and I have used them throughout this mini album. Even if they are just splatters!!

There are 8 pages that include a front and back cover. Each page was such a pleasure to create. The collection I used had plenty of ephemera. If you are Photoshop savvy or familiar with a similar program, you can create printables and resize your ephemera any size you want. And if you have an electronic cutter, you can cut out the printable even faster. But for this collection, I fussy cut some of the elements while sitting in the carloop line at my granddaughters school. It passes the time quickly!!

You can be as creative as you want with dimension because the book ring allows the pages to be as thick as you want. I adore the Melange stones I used for the cover. They are backed with the sweet green polka dot paper from the collection. I used a clear adhesive to the bottom of the stone, and cut around the stone when it was dry. Or you can cut the circles to size then adhere them to the stones. Great way to create a matching embellishment.

I love the sentiments in the collection. I used many throughout this mini.

I used Prills and rhinestones on the cover as well. I also spattered some of Katies new Magical Shakers  collection with Lindys Gang, called Laurel Garden. The colors are rich Fall colors. A must have Magicals collection to have in your stash. I can see using it over and over again. I die cut the flowers from paper that was printed on both sides. That way, there is no white showing underneath. I enhanced it with the Magicals and placed some stamen  for the middle. I added more sparkle with a fine clear glitter that resembles German Glass Glitter.

Each one of the pages has a tuck spot for a photo. Some of them are pullouts, and some you just cut your photo to size and tuck them in. Besides the digital elements, the smaller leaves were die cut from the Acorn die set. Cutting them from scraps of paper were perfect!!

Here is a list of all of the products I used to create the mini album. The joy of using your own stash to add to the printable digital designs is that the possibilities are endless when creating.

Lindys Stamp Gang Challenge/Katie Pertiet Designs/12x12 layout

I love using digital elements for my paper projects, whether printing up and fussy cutting, or creating cut files for my Silhouette Cameo. This layout was inspired by the beautiful ARToptions Viken dragonflies. I created a cut file with many sized dragonflies, and I know I will use them often! When I saw the July Challenge for Lindys, I knew I had to enter. Purple and green are 2 of my favorite colors. And who doesn't love Books and Magic,  which is the theme. But the Dragonflies are what inspired me to create this design. They come from the Viken Collection which I created a cut file for. Now I have them in lots of sizes.

It all started with a sheet of 12x12 white cardstock. Stenciled using modeling paste, brushed with clear gesso, and sprayed and splattered  with Lindys Magical Shakers. The stitching in the corners are KPD digital images. This is the base of the layout.

The little book was created wrapping chipboard with paper, lining is as if you were making a mini album, then added a few blank pages to the inside and adhered the middle of the pages to the spine, and fluffing and staggering the pages. The title strip came from the KPD ARToption Viken collection.

The frames are a KPD digital elements from the Vintage Makers collection that I converted to a cut file and cut them on my Silhouette Cameo. I layered 2 frames and popped them up using corrugated cardboard. I used the Lindys Magicals on small pieces of cheesecloth and tucked them under the frames.

I started with both lavender and white flowers and used the Lindys Magicals to color the flowers. The same colors I used for the background on the layout.  The dragonflies were printed up from digital, and fussy cut then enhanced with Lindys gold using a paintbrush I also painted the edges of the book pages and parts of the flowers. Under the printed dragonflies are Prima acetate dragonflies for extra dimension. You could easily print the dragonflies on printer acetate and layer them under the paper dragonflies.   I love that the KPD ARToptions Viken solids paper #2 is designed like watercolors, I used it to die cut the leaves without having to color them except for some Lindys gold to make them shimmer.

Katie Pertiet Designs ARToptions MIni Mix 33 Bundle

Can you imagine a never ending supply of your favorite paper collections?? Imagine no more. As long as you purchase digital collections, you have them forever, and can print as many times as you want. I use Katie Pertiet Designs digitals in my projects. Printing what I need to complete each one. And no worries if you dont have a printer that prints in 12x12 format. I use 8.5x11 inch printed sheets to create my projects. For this 12x12 layout, I printed up Transfer 1 digital from ARToptions Minimix 33 and cut it diagonally and used a piece of 12x12 white cardstock to adhere it to. I machine sewed around the edges of the layout using straight stitching and zig zag. 3 rows all around. The frame is a Prima resin frame that I poured, coated in white gesso, and used Lindys Stamp Gang Magical Shakers for color, topping it with some gold wax matching the colors in the papers.

The ARToptions Minimix 33 Bundle has everything you need in a collection to create a project. I ran some images in photoshop creating a page that I could fussy cut images from. Word strips and buttterflies in abundance11 You can even create a print and cut for your Silhouette, Cricut or any print and cut machine. Katie Pertiet Designs has so many collections that already have print and cuts that you can use in your electronic cutting machines to make it easier. But even those who love to fussy cut will find a world of designs at your disposal.

I found this gorgeous bird from the Birdsong Print and Cut Pack 03, image 39, and it matched perfectly. I used scraps from the collections to create rolled roses. Love that you can use just scraps.

I created all of the flowers on this layout. I printed up papers From Minimix 12 images 5 and 7, and the Classic Pooh Friends Like You Solids Paper Pack image #3.  I printed on both sides of a 8.5x11 inch cardstock and die cut flowers using various dies in my stash. Once the flowers were assembled I used fine glitter to make them glimmer.

I love creating my own flowers, because I get to choose shape, style, size and color. Katie Pertiets collections in the shop make it so easy to do this. With so many solids in paper collections, there is always something to mix and match to perfection!
